The "Golden Khomsa" competition is considered a pioneering national event. The National Office for Traditional Industries has been organizing it annually since 1996 to stimulate and ignite the spirit of innovation and renewal among craftsmen and active designers in the field of embellishment crafts. This event aims to develop and promote these crafts by employing a contemporary approach to the national heritage in the field of everyday and ceremonial attire, as well as to explore and showcase exceptional professional skills in the field.
The traditional Tunisian garment, a source of inspiration, a landmark for generations, and a true embodiment of values, has managed to innovate and adapt to the current global context in recent years. Guided by the expertise of the National Office of Handicrafts, it has successfully captured a new clientele and shone brightly at the "Golden Khomsa" competition.
