Coinciding with the conclusion of the International Gift and Decorative Arts Fair in Paris, the Tunisian pavilion was visited on the morning of September 14, 2026, by Mr. Nizar Chakroun, representative of the Tunisian Embassy in Paris. The visit took place in the presence of Ms. Leila Messelati, Director General of the National Office of Traditional Crafts (ONAT), alongside various officials and representatives from relevant national bodies, including Mr. Mehdi Haloui, Director General of the Office.

...the National Tourism Office, Mr. Lotfi Mani (representative of the Tunisian National Tourist Office), Mr. Tarek Hosni (representative of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency), Ms. Dorra Ben Milad (President of the Tunisian Hotels Federation), as well as representatives from the National Office of Traditional Crafts.
Tunisia’s participation—part of the annual promotional program—aligns with the National Office of Traditional Crafts' strategy to strengthen the market positioning of Tunisian artisanal products abroad, boost export momentum, and highlight the value of traditional crafts as a key pillar of the national economy and a vehicle for Tunisian cultural identity. It also aims to open new avenues for commercial partnerships and establish direct connections with international professionals and distributors.
Six (6) artisanal enterprises are participating in the Tunisian pavilion under the national brand "ARTISANAT DE TUNISIE":
1. Art is Raw
2. Tayn Atelier
3. Lamasset Tounssia
4. Expo Bazar
5. Amust
6. Artisanart Hermassi
The event also included a visit to the pavilion of a Tunisian startup operating in the circular economy sector, supported by Dutch cooperation.
This annual participation underscores the pivotal role of the traditional crafts sector in supporting exports and creating added value. It also reinforces Tunisia's image as an inspiring destination for renewal and innovation, and as a driving force behind the global visibility and excellence of Tunisian artisanal products.
