As part of its efforts to boost private entrepreneurship in the traditional crafts sector—by enhancing the quality and personalized support and guidance services provided to new entrepreneurs, thereby strengthening the sector's contribution to national efforts to accelerate investment and employment—the National Office of Traditional Crafts (ONAT) announces the opening of applications starting Thursday, July 16, 2026. Applications are invited for participation in the "New Entrepreneurs in Traditional Crafts" space, to be held in 2027 as part of the 43rd edition of the Traditional Crafts Innovation Fair at the Kram Exhibition Center.

A dedicated space will be provided free of charge to new entrepreneurs in traditional craft activities from across the country's governorates, subject to the following conditions:

The entrepreneur must be a Tunisian national;
The entrepreneur must be a graduate of a higher education institution or a vocational training center specializing in traditional craft activities, or hold a Certificate of Professional Competence (CAP) in one of the traditional craft activities stipulated in Decree No. 3078 of 2005 (dated November 29, 2005) and its amending and supplementing texts;
The entrepreneur must be active in the traditional crafts sector, in accordance with the list of activities specified in the aforementioned decree;
The entrepreneur must practice the activity for which they are applying as their primary occupation;
The entrepreneur must be registered in the National Business Register (RNE) with the activity subject to the application listed as their primary activity; Must have been engaged in the artisanal activity for no more than three (03) years—counting from the date of commencing operations (as indicated on the tax identification card or self-entrepreneur card) up to the application deadline specified in this notice;
Must not have participated in the "New Entrepreneurs' Space" more than twice (02)—including the proposed participation for the 2027 edition;
Must provide the necessary certificates and laboratory analyses attesting to the health safety of products displayed during the 43rd edition of the Traditional Industries Innovation Fair, in accordance with applicable regulations—specifically regarding activities involving the distillation of herbs and flowers, perfume making, and the production of traditional food items.

New entrepreneurs wishing to apply for participation in the aforementioned space must submit their application files to the registry office of the Regional Delegation of the Office (ONA) having territorial jurisdiction over their activity. Submissions may be made starting from the date this notice is published at the Office’s regional delegations, on its website, and on its social media channels.

The application file for participation in this space must consist of the following documents:

An application form (using the designated template), to be obtained from the relevant Regional Delegation of the Office, completed and signed by the applicant entrepreneur;
A copy of the applicant entrepreneur's National Identity Card; A copy of the certificate attesting to the applicant entrepreneur's professional competence (higher education degree, vocational training certificate, or professional competence certificate) in the craft activity for which the application is submitted;
A copy of the registration receipt for the applicant entrepreneur as an artisan or craft enterprise;
A copy of the applicant entrepreneur's tax identification card or self-entrepreneur card;
A copy of the National Business Register extract, issued no more than three (03) months prior to the application deadline specified in this announcement;
The necessary certificates and test results attesting to the sanitary safety of the products on offer—in accordance with applicable regulations—specifically for activities involving herb and flower distillation, perfume manufacturing, and the production of traditional food items.

The deadline for submitting applications to participate in the "New Entrepreneurs' Space"—organized as part of the 43rd edition of the Traditional Crafts Innovation Fair—has been set for Friday, October 16, 2026.
